Acts 19:1-10 - Paul Finds Disciples Of John The Baptist In Ephesus

Now while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper parts, came to Ephesus; 2 and finding certain disciples, He said to them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost, since ye believed? And they said to him, Nay, we have not so much as heard, Whether there be any Holy Ghost.

He said to them, Into what then were ye baptized? And they said, Into John's baptism.

And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe on him that was to come after him, that is on Jesus.

And hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And Paul laying his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they spake with tongues and prophesied. 7 And they were in all about twelve men. And going into the synagogue,

he spake boldly, for three months discoursing and evincing the things concerning the kingdom of God. 9 But when some were hardened, and would not believe, but spake reproachfully of the way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, discoursing daily in the school of one Tyrannus. 10 And this was done for the space of two years, so that all the inhabitants of Asia, both Jews and Greeks, heard the word of the Lord.
