Matthew 4:12-17 - Public Ministry In Galilee

Matthew 4:12-17

12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee; ??13 he left Nazaret and settled at Capharnahum beside the lake, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali 14 for the fulfilment of what had been said by the prophet Isaiah:

15 Land of Zebulun, land of Naphtali lying to the sea, across the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles! 16 The people who sat in darkness saw a great light, yea light dawned on those who sat in the land and the shadow of death.

17 From that day Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, the Reign of heaven is near."

Mark 1:14-15

14 After John had been arrested, Jesus went to Galilee preaching the gospel of God; 15 he said, "The time has now come, God's reign is near: repent and believe in the gospel."

Luke 4:14-15

14 Then Jesus came back in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and the news of him spread over all the surrounding country. 15 He taught in their synagogues and was glorified by all.
