Proverbs 4:20-Proverbs 5:6 - Staying The Course

20 My son, pay attention to my words. Incline your ear (extend your hearing) to my sayings. 21 Do not let them leave your sight. Hold them in the midst of your heart! 22 For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it come the source of life. 24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth. Get rid of devious speech. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead. Let you own eyes gaze (be fixed) straight in front of you. 26 Ponder the path of your feet. Let all your ways be established (firm). 27 Do not turn to the right or to the left. Remove your foot from evil.

1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom. Listen to my understanding. 2 That way you will maintain discretion and your lips will keep knowledge. 3 The lips of an immoral woman drip as a honeycomb. Her mouth is smoother than oil. 4 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two edged sword. 5 Her feet go down to death. Her steps take hold of the grave. 6 She does not ponder the path of life. Her unstable ways she does not know.
