2 Kings 19:8-13 - The Assyrians Defy God
8 And Rabshakeh will turn back and find the king of Assur warring against Libnah: for he heard that he removed from Lachish. 9 And he will hear Tirhakah king of Cush, saying, Behold, he came forth to war with thee: and he will turn back and send messengers to Hezekiah, saying, 10 Thus shall ye say to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Thy God will not lift thee up whom thou trustest in him, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assur. 11 Behold, thou heardest what the kings of Assur did to all lands to destroy them: and shalt thou be delivred? 12 Did the gods of the nations deliver them which my fathers destroyed Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and the sons of Eden who were in Thelasar? 13 Where the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king to the city of Sepharvaim, Hena and Ivah?
