Matthew 3:13-17 - The Baptism Of Jesus
13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. 14 But John opposed him, saying, I have need to be baptized by thee, and dost thou come to me?
15 And Jesus answering said to him, Suffer it now; for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, as soon as he was baptized, went up from the water; and, lo! the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God, descending like a dove, coming upon him. 17 And lo! a voice from the heavens, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."
9 And it came to pass that in those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 And immediately on coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens parted, and the Spirit descending as a dove upon him. 11 And there was a voice from the heavens, "Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased."
21 And it came to pass, when all the people had been baptized, and Jesus also had been baptized, and was praying, that the heaven was opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in a bodily shape as a dove; and a voice came from heaven: "Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased."
