Luke 13:6-9 - The Parable Of The Barren Fig Tree
6 And he spoke this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. 7 And he said to his vine dresser, Behold, I have come three years seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none; cut it down; why should it make the ground unproductive?
8 And he answered and said to him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I dig about it, and put on manure; 9 and if it bears fruit, well; but if not, at a future time you shall cut it down.
