Luke 13:6-9 - The Parable Of The Barren Fig Tree

6 And He spake this parable: "A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none. 7 And he said to the vinedresser, 'Behold, these three years I come, seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none; cut it down; why does it also make the land useless?'

8 But he, answering, says to him, 'Lord, leave it this year also, until I dig about it, and cast in fertilizers. 9 And if, indeed, it bear fruit for the future, well; but, if not, you shall cut it down.'"
