1 Since many have undertaken to arrange the narration concerning things rendered perfectly certain among us, 2 As they delivered to us, who from the beginning being eyewitnesses, and servants of the word; 3 It seemed fitting to me also, having comprehended all things thoroughly from above, to write to thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, 4 That thou mightest know the certainty of the words concerning which thou hast been instructed.
