John 20:24-29 - Thomas Doubts But Later Believes

Now Thomas, one of the twelve, who was called 'the Twin,' was not with them when Jesus came; 25 and when the rest of the disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord," he said, "Unless I see his hands with the mark of the nails, and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe it."

Eight days afterwards his disciples were together again, and Thomas with them. Though the doors were closed, Jesus entered and stood among them, saying, "Peace be with you!"

Then he said to Thomas, "Look at my hands, put your finger here; and put your hand here into my side; cease your unbelief and believe."

Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!"

Jesus said to him, "You believe because you have seen me? Blessed be those who believe though they have never seen me."
