Registry of persons' names as living. One (also called simply God's book,) may be a book of those who only have a name to live, and consequently whose names may be blotted out. Ex 32:32-33; Ps 69:28; Re 3:5; 22:19. Another is a book of the saved, from which none will be erased. Php 4:3; Re 13:8; 17:8; 20:12,15; 21:27. A third (called simply 'the book,') contains the names of the remnant of Israel. Da 12:1.

And now if you will forgive their sin--and if not, please blot me from your scroll that you have written." And Yahweh said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot him from my scroll.
Let them be blotted out of [the] book of [the] living, and let them not be recorded with [the] righteous.
"Now at that time, Michael, the great prince, will arise, {the protector} over the sons of your people, and it will be a time of distress that has not been since [your people] {have been} a nation until that time. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share of the tree of life and from the holy city that are written in this book.
