The governor motioned for Paul to speak. He said, I know that you have been a judge for this nation for many years. For this reason I cheerfully make my defense.

He reasoned about righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come. Felix trembled, and answered: Go your way for now. When I have time I will send for you.

But he answered back: I am not mad, most noble Festus. I speak the words of truth and soberness!
