A 'leasing' is a lie. Wyclif uses the word often. Thus Joh 8:44 'Whanne he spekith a lesinge, he spekitb of his owne thingis; for he is a lyiere, and fadir of it.' The word occurs in AV in Ps 4:2; 5:6,2Es 14:18.
