And Adaiah the son of Jeroham the son of Pashur the son of Malchijah. And Maasai the son of Adiel the son of Jaezerah the son of Meshullam the son of Meshillemith the son of Immer,
But Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahathmoab builded the other piece, and the tower beside the furnace.
But the Dung port builded Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the fourth part of the vineyards: he builded it, and set on the doors, locks and bars thereof.

8. Son of Hammelech, or "of the king" into whose dungeon Jeremiah was cast (Jer 38:6). Jerahmeel also is called "son of Hammeleeh" or "the king" (Jer 36:26), and Joash (1Ki 22:26), and Maaseiah (2Ch 28:7). Therefore the title is official, one of the royal family, exercising some of the royal prerogative.
