An 'unclean' bird (Le 11:15; De 14:14), numbers of which may always be seen gathered, together with the dogs, around the carrion thrown out into the valley of Hinnom (cf. Pr 30:17). Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry to God, they wander for want of food.
