This is used in the sense of 'forgiveness.' The forgiveness or remission of sins is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and on the ground of His sacrificial death. Ac 10:43; 13:38; Ro 3:25; 1Co 15:3. See FORGIVENESS.
To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."
Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,
