and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and beyond the Jordan, and about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what things He was doing, came to Him.

And, rising up, He went thence into the borders of Tyre and Sidon; and, entering into a house, He wished no one to know it. And He could not be hid. But straightway a woman, whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of Him, coming, fell down at His feet. read more. And the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race. And she kept asking Him to cast forth the demon out of her daughter. And He said to her, "Suffer the children first to be satisfied; for it is not good to take the children's bread, and cast it to the little dogs." But she answered, and says to Him, "Yes, Lord; even the little dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs." And He said to her, "Because of this word go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter." And, going away into her own house, she found the child laid upon the bed, and the demon gone out. And again, going forth out of the borders of Tyre, He came through Sidon to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the borders of Decapolis.

"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you Bethsaida! because, if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Now he was very angry with the Tyrians and Sidonians; and they came with one accord to him; and, having made Blastus, the king's chamberlain, their friend, they asked for peace, because their country was being maintained by that of the king.

And, having come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed to Syria, and landed at Tyre; for there the ship was to unload her cargo. And, because the harbor was incommodious to winter in, the greater part advised to set sail thence, if by any means, having reached Phoenix, a harbor of Crete??ooking toward the south-west and north-west ??e might be able to winter there.
