And he called the name of that place Bethel; however, the name of the city [was] formerly Luz.

And Jacob came to Luz which [was] in the land of Canaan (that [is] Bethel), he and all the people that [were] with him.

Then Jacob said to Joseph, "El-Shaddai appeared to me in Luz, in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
