These were the kings who ruled in the land of Edom before any king ruled over the Israelites: Bela son of Beor. Bela’s town was named Dinhabah.

[The sons of] Benjamin: Bela, Beker, and Jediael, three.

The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri, five, [the] heads of [the] house of [the] fathers, mighty warriors. And their enrollment by genealogy [was] twenty-two thousand thirty-four.

Now Benjamin fathered Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,

And Bela had sons: Addar, Gera, Abihud,

When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.

and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, as far as Nebo and Baal-meon;

To the east Bela settled as far as the entrance into the desert from the river Euphrates, because their cattle had multiplied in the land of Gilead.
