These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim,

And Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Menuhoth.

And the families of Kiriath-jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zorathites, and the Eshtaolites.

So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.

And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD, who dwells between the cherubim, whose name is proclaimed there.
