These are the men who served, including their descendants: From the descendants of Kohath, there was Heman the singer, who had been fathered by Joel, who had been fathered by Samuel,

And to the children of Kohath that remained were given by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim and of the tribe of Dan and of the half tribe, half Manasseh, ten cities.

And of the clans of the sons of Kohath were cities of their territory out of the tribe of Ephraim.

and out of the half tribe of Manasseh: Aner and its suburbs, and Bileam and its suburbs, for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.

And other of their brethren, the sons of Kohath, had the oversight of the shewbread, to prepare against all Sabbaths.
