And David defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to establish his rule by the river Euphrates.

And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had defeated all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah;
