And the sons of Amram: Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. And the sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

Eleazar begot Phinehas, Phinehas begot Abishua,

And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,

And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, [and] LORD was with him.

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.

And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters only. And their brothers the sons of Kish took them [to wife].

And the divisions of the sons of Aaron [were these]. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no sons. Therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

And David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.

And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar. And [thus] were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen heads of fathers' houses, and of the sons of Ithamar, according to thei

Thus they were divided by lot, one sort with another. For there were rulers of the sanctuary, and rulers for God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
