He also built Upper Beth-Horon and Lower Beth-Horon, fortified cities [with] walls, gates, and bars;

As for the {troops} Amaziah had sent back from going with him to war, they raided the cities of Judah from Samaria to Beth-Horon. And they struck [down] three thousand of them and plundered much booty.
