Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; get up and make your bed." Immediately he got up.

About the ninth hour of the day he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God who had just come in and said to him, "Cornelius!"

And he stared at him in terror, and said, "What is it, Lord?" And he said to him, "Your prayers and alms have ascended as a memorial before God.

While Peter was reflecting on the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are looking for you.

Peter went down to the men and said, "Behold, I am the one you are looking for; what is the reason you have come?"

They said, "Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house, and to hear what you have to say."

And he said to them, "You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with a foreigner or to visit him; but God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

Cornelius said, "Four days ago to this hour, I was praying in my house during the ninth hour; and behold, a man stood before me in shining garments,

So I sent for you immediately, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God, to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord."

For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said,

And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.

But I said, 'No, Lord; for nothing common or unclean has ever entered my mouth.'

And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'

And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared, and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter's side and woke him up, saying, "Get up quickly." And the chains fell off his hands.

And the angel said to him, "Dress yourself and put on your sandals." And he did so. And he said to him, "Wrap your cloak around you and follow me."

When Peter came to himself, he said, "Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting."

They said to her, "You are out of your mind!" But she kept insisting that it was so. They said, "It is his angel."

But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, "Tell this to James and to the brethren." Then he left and went to another place.

On an appointed day Herod put on his royal robes, took his seat upon the throne, and made an address to them.

and said, "You who are full of all deceit and fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not stop making crooked the straight ways of the Lord?

But they passed on from Perga and came to Pisidian Antioch. And on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down.

Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, "Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen:

She continued doing this for many days. But Paul was greatly annoyed, and turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!" And it came out at that very moment.

and when they had brought them to the magistrates they said, "These men are Jews and they are throwing our city into an uproar.
