I mean this; that each one of you says I indeed am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

For when one says, I am of Paul, and another, I, of Apollos, are you not men?

Who then is Apollos? and who is Paul? but ministers by whom you believed, and to each as the Lord gave.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused [the seed] to grow;

whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come, all are yours,

I have applied these things figuratively, brothers, to myself and Apollos on your account, that you may learn by us not to [go beyond] what is written, that you may not be puffed up for one against another.

But concerning Apollos the brother, I have exhorted him much to come to you with the brothers; but he was entirely indisposed to come now, but he will come when he has a convenient time.
