And the men pursued after them, the way to Jordan even unto the passage, and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gates immediately.

So yet that there be a space between you and it, about a two thousand cubits by measure. And come not nigh unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not gone by it in times past."

And as soon as the people were all gone over Jordan, the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

Kinah, Dimonah, and Adadah;

Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah: ten cities with their villages.

And their borders went from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah, and the ends were the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim in their kindreds,

And the coasts descended unto the river Kanah on whose south side Ephraim hath cities among the cities of Manasseh. For the coasts of Manasseh were on the north side of the river and the ends of them was the sea:

and Hebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah even unto great Sidon.

when ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you: and have gone and served strange gods, and bowed yourselves to them. Then shall the wrath of the LORD wax hot upon you, and ye shall perish quickly, from off the good land which he hath given you."
