Then Pharisees and experts in the law came from Jerusalem to Jesus and said,
but he answered them, why do you violate the law of God to follow your tradition?
then he shall not honor his father or his mother; and you have made the law of God of no effect by your tradition.
but it is in vain they worship Me, while they lay down precepts which are mere human rules.'"
and lo, a Canaanitish woman, coming out from those borders, cried to him saying, Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.
Soon great crowds came to Him, bringing with them those who were crippled in feet or hands, blind or dumb, and many besides, and they hastened to lay them at His feet. And He cured them,

When Jesus had finished these discourses, He removed from Galilee and came into that part of Judaea which lay beyond the Jordan.
Some Pharisees came to Him, [attempting] to put Him to a test. They said, "Is it permissible by the law of Moses for a man to divorce his wife for any reason [he chooses]?"
They said to him, "Then why did Moses lay it down that we were to divorce by giving a separation-notice?"
Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should lay his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
And lo, one coming up said to him, Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have life eternal?
