Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because it was said by some, that John was risen from the dead;

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they were perplexed of what might come of this.

And because I was perplexed concerning such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
