And returning, they made preparation of aromatics and unguents; and they rested the sabbath-day, according to the commandment.

And John bore witness, saying, I saw the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it rested upon him.

And there was an appearance to them of divided tongues, as of fire, and it rested on every one of them.

For he said in a certain passage concerning the seventh day to this purport, "And God rested on the seventh day from all his works."

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath rested from his works, as God did from his own.
