And when Noah was five hundred years old, he begat Shem, Ham and Japheth.

And Noah begat three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth.

And the selfsame day went Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth, Noah's sons, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them in to the ark:

The sons of Noah that came out of the ark were: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham he is the father of Canaan.

And Shem and Japheth took a mantle, and put it on both their shoulders and went backward, and covered their father's secrets, but their faces were backward, so that they saw not their father's nakedness.

And he said, "Blessed be the LORD God of Shem, and Canaan be his servant.

God increase Japheth that he may dwell in the tents of Shem. And Canaan be their servant."

These are the generations of the sons of Noah: of Shem, Ham and Japheth, which begat them children after the flood.

And Shem the father of all the children of Eber and the eldest brother of Japheth, begat children also.

These are the sons of Shem in their kindreds, languages, countries and nations.

These are the generations of Shem: Shem was a hundred years old and begat Arpachshad two years after the flood.

And Shem lived, after he had begot Arpachshad, five hundred years and begat sons and daughters.

And they said unto them, "We cannot do this thing, that we should give our sister to one that is uncircumcised, for that were a shame unto us.

And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah: these were the sons of Basemath Esau's wife.

And there went over a boat to carry over the king's household and to do him pleasure. And Shimei the son of Gera fell before the king, as he was come over Jordan,

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, "Shall Shimei not die for that cause: which cursed the LORD's anointed?"

And the king said unto Shimei, "Thou shalt not die," and sware unto him.

And Jonathan the son of Shimei, the brother of David, slew him.

After him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite, which - when the Philistines were gathered together in Lehi, where was a parcel of land full of rice, and the people were fled for fear of the Philistines -

But Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei and Rei and the men of might which were with David, favored not Adonijah.

And see, thou hast with thee Shimei the son of Gera, the son of Benjamin of Bahurim, which cursed me with a bitter curse what time I went to Mahanaim. But he came against me to Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, "I will not slay thee with the sword."

Then the king sent and called Shimei, and said to him, "Build thee a house in Jerusalem and dwell there and see that thou go not once thence any whither.

And Shimei said unto the king, "It is well said: as my lord the king hath said, so will his servant do." And Shimei dwelt in Jerusalem many a day.

And it chanced, at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran away unto Achish, son of Maacah, king of Gath. And one told Shimei, saying, "See, thy servants be in Gath."

And Shimei stood up and saddled his ass and gat him to Gath to Achish, to seek his servants, and came and brought them again from Gath.

But it was told Solomon how that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and was come again.

And the king sent and called Shimei and said unto him, "Did I not adjure thee by the LORD, and testified unto thee saying, 'Be sure whensoever thou goest out and walkest abroad any whither, thou shalt die for it?' And thou answeredst me, 'It is good tidings that I have heard.'

And then the king said to Shimei, "Thou rememberest all the wickedness which thine heart knoweth that thou didst to David my father. The LORD therefore render again thy wickedness upon thine own head:

Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth.

The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshech.

The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.

And Jesse begat his eldest son Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,

The sons of Onam were: Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.

And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai were Jether and Jonathan. But Jether died without children.

The sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem and Shema.

Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkeam. And Rekem begat Shammai.

The son of Shammai was Maon. And Maon was the father of Bethzur.

And these were born him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon: these four of Bathsheba the daughter of Ammiel.

The sons of Pedaiah were Zerubbabel and Shimei. The sons of Zerubbabel, Meshullam, Hananiah and Shelomith their sister,

The son of Shecaniah was Shemaiah. And the sons of Shemaiah were Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, Shaphat and Hesa, six.

And the sons of Ezrah were Jether, Mered, Epher, Jalon, Thahar, Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Estemoa.

And the son of Mishma was Hammuel, and his son was Zaccur, and the son of him was Shimei.

Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters. But his brethren had not many children, neither were the kindreds of them like to the children of Judah in multitude.

Ziza the son of Shiphi the son of Allon the son of Jedaiah the son of Shimri the son of Shemaiah.

The sons of Joel: Shemaiah, and his son Gog, and his son Shimei,

And Bela the son of Azaz the son of Shema the son of Joel, dwelt in Aroer and so forth unto Nebo and Baalmeon.

And these be the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.

The sons of Merari: Mahli, and his son Libni, and his son Shimei, and his son Uzzah,

and his son Shimea, and his son Haggiah, and his son Asaiah.

And his brother Asaph stood on his righthand, which was the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea,

the son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,

Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran and Beera.

and Beriah and Shema - ancient heads among the inhabiters of Aijalon, and they drave out away the inhabiters of Gath -

Adaiah, Beraiah, Shimrath: the sons of Shimei.

Gedor, Ahio and Zecher. And Mikloth begat Shimeah.

And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah of the sons of Merari.

Obadiah the son of Shemaiah the son of Galal the son of Jeduthun. And Berechiah the son of Asa the son of Elkanah that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

Then said Saul to his weapon bearer, "Draw thy sword and thrust me through therewith, that these uncircumcised come not and do me shame." And his weapon bearer would not, but feared exceedingly. Whereupon, Saul caught a sword and fell upon it.

Uzziah an Ashterathite; Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hoham an Aroerite;

And David called to Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and to the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel and Amminadab;

And Jonathan the son of Shimea, David's brother, slew him.

Of the Gershonites was Ladan and Shimei.

The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the ancient heads of Ladan.

And the sons of Shimei were also Jahath, Zina, Jeush and Beriah: these four were the sons of Shimei.

And Shimeah the son of Nethanel the Scribe of the Levites wrote them before the king and the lords, and before Zadok the priest and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the ancient heads of the priests and of the Levites: one principal household for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.

The sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah-Shimei, six, at the hands of their fathers Jeduthun, with harps: which Jeduthun prophesied for to thank and praise the LORD.

The tenth to Shimei with his sons and brethren, twelve persons.

And Obededom had sons: Shemaiah the eldest, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sachar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth,

And unto Shemaiah his son were sons born that ruled in the house of their father, for they were men of might.
