And Moses sent to spy out Jazer; and they took the towns thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.

Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

and Atrothshophan, and Jazer, and Jogbehah,

And their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah;

Heshbon with its suburbs, Jazer with its suburbs; four cities in all.

And they passed over the Jordan, and encamped in Aroer, on the right side of the city that is in the middle of the valley of Gad, and unto Jazer:

and Heshbon with its suburbs, and Jazer with its suburbs.

Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers houses . In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

With more than the weeping of Jazer will I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah: thy branches passed over the sea, they reached even to the sea of Jazer: upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage the destroyer is fallen.
