and the [four] sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel;
Of Kohath were the families of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites; these are the families of the Kohathites.

I appointed [as treasurers] over the storehouses: Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and Pedaiah of the Levites; assisting them was Hanan son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were considered faithful and reliable, and their task was to distribute [supplies] to their brothers (fellow Levites).
On that day men were appointed over the chambers for the stores, the contributions, the first fruits, and the tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions required by the law for the priests and the Levites; for Judah rejoiced over the priests and Levites who served.
for these Levites, the four chief gatekeepers, had an official duty, and were in charge of the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasuries of the house of God and the treasuries of the dedicated gifts. Of the Amramites, Izharites, Hebronites, and Uzzielites: Shebuel son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasuries. His brethren from Eliezer were his son Rehabiah, his son Jeshaiah, his son Joram, his son Zichri, and his son Shelomoth. This Shelomoth and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the dedicated gifts, which King David, the heads of the fathers' houses, the officers over thousands and hundreds, and the commanders of the army had dedicated. From spoil won in battles they dedicated gifts to maintain the house of the Lord. Also all that Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah had dedicated, and whatever anyone had dedicated, it was in the charge of Shelomoth and his brethren.
