1 Timothy 2:1

I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings should be offered for all men,

1 Timothy 2:2

for kings and all in authority, that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives in all piety and sanctity.

1 Timothy 2:3

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,

1 Timothy 2:4

who wishes all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of truth.

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God, and one mediator of God and man, the man Christ Jesus,

1 Timothy 2:6

who gave himself a ransom for all, a testimony for its own times,

1 Timothy 2:7

of which I was made a herald and an apostle,?? speak the truth, I lie not,?? teacher of nations in faith and truth.

1 Timothy 2:8

I wish also that men should pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputations;

1 Timothy 2:9

and in like manner also, that women in becoming apparel with modesty and sobriety adorn themselves, not with plaited hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly clothing,

1 Timothy 2:10

but with good works, which become women professing godliness.

1 Timothy 2:11

Let a woman learn quietly in all subjection;

1 Timothy 2:12

but I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have authority over a man, but to be quiet.

1 Timothy 2:13

For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

1 Timothy 2:14

And Adam was not deceived; but the woman being deceived fell into transgression;

1 Timothy 2:15

but she shall be saved through child-bearing, if they continue in faith, and love, and holiness, with sobriety.
