Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.
And you shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.
And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark:
And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.

Behold, I will stand before you there upon the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

Especially the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
Take therefore good heed unto yourselves; for you saw no manner of form on the day that the LORD spoke unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
Also in Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.
These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
Remember you the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him at Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

And the inner sanctuary he prepared in the house inside, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.
Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. Therefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month. And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark. read more.

Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be counted nor numbered for multitude. And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto its place, to the inner sanctuary of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim: For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its poles. And the poles of the ark extended out, so that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark in front of the inner sanctuary; but they were not seen outside. And there it is unto this day. And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month. And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark. read more.
