The righteous person has many troubles, but Jehovah rescues him from all of them. Jehovah guards all of his bones. Not one of them is broken.

We are pressed (afflicted) (troubled) on every side, but not crushed. We are perplexed yet not to despair. We are persecuted, yet not forsaken. We are struck down, yet not destroyed. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our mortal flesh.



The Spirit of Jehovah is upon me. He anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind. To set at liberty those who are bruised. To proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah. (Isaiah 61:1)

We do not give up! Though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. Our light affliction is for the moment. It works more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory for us. We do not look at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen. For the things that are seen are temporal (for a season). But the things that are not seen are eternal.
