Then Hezekiah said: It is an easy matter to have the shadow go forward ten steps. So have it go back ten steps. Isaiah prayed to Jehovah and Jehovah made the shadow go back ten steps on the stairway set up by King Ahaz.

2 Chronicles 32:24-26

Hezekiah became sick and was about to die. He prayed to Jehovah, who answered him and gave him a miraculous sign. But Hezekiah was conceited. So he did not repay Jehovah for his kindness. Jehovah became angry with him, with Judah, and with Jerusalem. Hezekiah and the people living in Jerusalem humbled themselves when they realized they had become conceited. Thus Jehovah did not vent his anger on them during Hezekiah's time.

Isaiah 38:1-8

King Hezekiah became sick and almost died. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to see him. Isaiah said to him: Jehovah tells you: 'You are to put everything in order because you will not recover. Get ready to die.' Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Jehovah: Remember, Jehovah, that I have served you faithfully and loyally. I have always tried to do what you wanted me to. 2 Kings 1:2

King Ahaziah of Israel fell off the balcony on the roof of his palace in Samaria and was seriously injured. He sent some messengers and said to them: Go to consult Baalzebub, the god of the Philistine city of Ekron, to find out whether or not I will recover from this.

Leviticus 12:1-4

Jehovah spoke to Moses: Tell the Israelites: 'When a woman gives birth to a boy, she will be unclean for seven days. This is the same number of days she is unclean for her monthly period. The boy must be circumcised when he is eight days old.read more.
She must stay at home for thirty-three days in order to be made clean from her bleeding. She must not touch anything holy or go into the holy place until the days needed to make her clean are over.

Leviticus 13:4

If the sore is white and does not appear to be deeper than the skin around it and the hairs have not turned white, the priest will isolate you for seven days.

You must wash your clothes, shave off all your hair, and take a bath. You will then be ritually clean. You may enter the camp. You must live outside your tent for seven days.

Numbers 5:2

Command the Israelites to send outside the camp anyone who has a serious skin disease or a discharge or anyone who is unclean from touching a dead body.

Numbers 31:19

2 Kings 4:29-37

Elisha told Gehazi: Hurry! Take my walking stick. Do not stop to talk to anyone. If anyone speaks to you do not respond. Go straight to the house and hold my stick over the boy. The woman said to Elisha: I swear by my loyalty to the living God Jehovah and to you that I will not leave you! So the two of them started back together. Gehazi went ahead and held Elisha's stick over the child. There was no sound or any other sign of life. He returned to meet Elisha and said: The boy did not wake up.read more.
When Elisha arrived he went alone into the room. He saw the boy lying dead on the bed. He closed the door and prayed to Jehovah. Then he lay down on the boy, placing his mouth, eyes, and hands on the boy's mouth, eyes, and hands. As he lay stretched out over the boy, the boy's body started to get warm. Elisha got up and walked around the room. He returned and again stretched himself over the boy. The boy sneezed seven times and then opened his eyes. Elisha called Gehazi and told him to call the boy's mother. When she came in, he said to her: Take your son! She fell at Elisha's feet with her face on the ground. Then she took her son and left.

2 Kings 5:10-14

Elisha sent a servant to tell him to wash himself seven times in the Jordan River. He would then be completely cured of his disease. Naaman left in a rage, saying: I thought he would at least come out to me, pray to Jehovah his God, wave his hand over the diseased spot, and cure me! Are not the Abanah and Pharpar rivers in Damascus better than any river in Israel? I could have washed in them and been cured!read more.
His servants went up to him and said: If the prophet had told you to do something difficult, you would have done it. Now why can you not just wash yourself, as he said, and be cured? Mark 5:1-20

They traveled to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. Just as he got out of the boat a man with an unclean spirit came to him from the tombs. He was living in the tombs. No man was able to bind him even with a chain.read more.

The herd went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea. About two thousand of them died in the sea. Their keepers ran off to the town to tell others what happened. People came to see what had taken place. When they came to Jesus they saw the man who had been demon possessed. He was fully clothed and in full use of his senses. So they were afraid. Those who saw the event gave a full account of what happened to the man, the evil spirits and the pigs. They asked Jesus to leave their country. Entering the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons asked that he might be allowed to travel with him. Jesus told him: Go to your house and to your friends and tell them about the great things God did for you and how he had mercy on you. He went away and told others in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him. They all marveled.

Mark 9:17-27

One of the people answered him: Teacher I brought my son who is unable to talk because of a spirit. The spirit seizes him and slams him down. He foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth. I asked your disciples to cast it out but they could not do it. Jesus then said: O faithless generation. How long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to me.read more.
They brought the boy to him. Suddenly the spirit threw him into convulsions. He fell on the ground rolled around and foamed at the mouth. Jesus asked his father: How long has this been going on? He said: Since he was a child. Often it casts him into the fire and into the water to destroy him. If you can do anything have compassion on us and help us. Jesus said to him: All things are possible to him who has faith. Both father and child immediately shouted: I have faith make my faith stronger. When Jesus saw the people he ordered the unclean spirit to come out of him. He commanded the spirit that caused the loss of voice and hearing to leave and never return to him. The spirit cried out and shook the child violently. It came out and the child became like a dead person. Most of them said: He is dead. Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up.

Luke 9:38-43

A man in the crowd cried, Teacher, please look at my son. He is my only child. A spirit controls him and suddenly he cries out. He foams at the mouth. It throws him into convulsions and he is badly bruised. I asked your disciples to cast it out and they could not.read more.
