when I call to mind your affliction, it makes me ardently desire the exceeding pleasure I shall have in seeing you:

what we have seen and heard, we declare unto you, that ye also may be of the same society with us: and truly associated with the father, and with his son Jesus Christ. and these things write we unto you, that our joy may be perfect.
I had many things to write to you, but I don't think it proper to commit them to paper and ink, because I hope to make you a visit, and deliver them by word of mouth; that so our joy may be compleat.
