For when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart away after other gods; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

Solomon did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not follow the Lord fully, as David his father had done.


But the high places were not taken away; nevertheless the heart of Asa was wholly devoted to the Lord all his days.


Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!”


He has not observed misfortune in Jacob;
Nor has He seen trouble in Israel;
The Lord his God is with him,
And the shout of a king is among them.


But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.


There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless, upright, fearing God and turning away from evil.


They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.
