For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye-witnesses of his majesty. And after six days, Jesus taketh Peter and James and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them, and his face shone as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Then answered Peter and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

And Peter answering faith to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. For he knew not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

And about eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and James and John, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashien of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. And behold two men talked with him, who were Moses and Elijah, read more.

But Peter and those with him were weighed down with sleep; and awaking they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. And just as they were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tents, ane for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah, not knowing what he said.
