Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap;

Ye may know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? So every good tree beareth good fruit; but a bad tree beareth bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor call a bad tree bear good fruit.
So then ye may know them by their fruits.

For there is no good tree that beareth bad fruit; and again, there is no bad tree that beareth good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit; for from thorns men do not gather figs, nor from a bramblebush do they gather grapes.
Fool! that which thou sowest is not brought to life unless it die; and what thou sowest, not the body that shall be dost thou sow, but a bare grain, of wheat perhaps, or of some of the other grains; but God giveth it a body, as he willed, and to every seed its own body.

But this there is to say: He that soweth sparingly, shall reap also sparingly; and he that soweth bountifully, shall reap also bountifully.
