But unto him that works, the reward is not reckoned as grace, but as debt. But to him that does not work, but believes in him that justifies the ungodly, the faith is counted as righteousness.
Take that which is thine and go, for I desire to give unto this last one, even as unto thee. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil because I am good?
But which of you, having a slave plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by when he is come from the field, Go and sit down at the table? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup and gird thyself and serve me until I have eaten and drunken, and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable slaves: we have done that which was our duty to do.
And if by grace, then is it not by works; otherwise, the grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, then it is no longer grace; otherwise, the work is no longer work. What then? Israel has not obtained that which he seeks after; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded
For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared that we should walk in them.
who will render to everyone according to his deeds: to those who persevered in well doing, glory and honour and incorruption, to those who seek eternal life; but unto those that are contentious and do not obey the truth, but are persuaded by unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.read more.
Tribulation and anguish shall be upon every human soul that does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek; but glory, honour, and peace to everyone that works good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no respect of persons with God.
And it shall come to pass if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God to keep and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all the Gentiles of the earth; and all these blessings shall come upon thee and overtake thee when thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Know, therefore, that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations and repays him that hates him to his face, to destroy him; he will not be slack to him that hates him; he will repay him to his face.
Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither destroy the destitute in judgment: For the LORD will judge their cause and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.
And I will visit evil upon the world and iniquity upon the wicked, and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease and will lay low the haughtiness of the strong.

The days of visitation are come, the days of recompense are come; Israel shall know it; the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is a fool, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with lamps and make a visitation upon the men that are settled on their lees, that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.
seeing it is a just thing with God to recompense tribulation to those that trouble you
Therefore, it is necessary that we with more diligence keep the things which we have heard, so that we do not fall. For if the word spoken by the ministry of angels was steadfast and every rebellion and disobedience received a just recompense of reward,
and if sons, also heirs certainly of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with him that we may be also glorified together with him. For I know with certainty that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory which shall be manifested in us.
Now therefore, if ye will give ear to hearken unto my voice and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a special treasure unto me above all peoples; for all the earth is mine.
Let the LORD recompense thy work and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to cover thyself.

with our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who having been offered joy, endured the cross , despising the shame and was seated at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself lest ye be wearied in your souls and faint.
Verily, in vain have I cleansed my heart and washed my hands in innocency and been plagued all day long and chastened every morning:
Now three friends of Job, Eliphaz, the Temanite, Bildad, the Shuhite, and Zophar, the Naamathite, when they heard of all this evil that had come upon him, each one came from his own place; for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. Art thou not from the beginning, O LORD my God, my Holy One? we shall not die, O LORD, thou hast ordained him for judgment, and thou hast established him strong for chastisement. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil and canst not look on iniquity: why dost thou look upon those that deal treacherously and hold thy tongue when the wicked devour the man that is more righteous than he?
Blessed are those who suffer persecution for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
And all that desire to live godly in Christ Jesus shall also suffer persecution.
