From their fruits ye shall recognize them. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the worthless tree bears evil fruit. A good tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a worthless tree bear good fruit.

"For there is no good tree that bears corrupt fruit; nor again a corrupt tree that bears good fruit; for each tree is known by its own fruit; for they do not gather figs of thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.

Foolish one! that which you sow is not made alive, except it die; and that which you sow, you sow not the body that shall be, but a bare grain, it may be of wheat, or of some other kind; but God giveth it a body, even as He willed, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.

And why are ye anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin; but I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these.
