Husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ also the church; for we are members of his body. For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery; but I speak of Christ and the church.

Verse Concepts
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. But the hired servant, and one who is not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf seizes and scatters them;
Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews, and are not, but lie, behold, I will make them come and worship at your feet, and they shall know that I have loved you.
