When a man shall take a wife and he married her, and it was if she shall find not favor in his eyes because he found in her a nakedness of the word: and he wrote for her a writing of cutting off, and gave in her hand, and sent her away from his house. And the last man hated her and wrote for her a writing of cutting off, and gave in her hand, and sent her away from his house; or if the last man shall die which took her to him for a wife, read more.
Her first husband who sent her away shall not be able to turn back to take her to be to him for a wife after that she was defiled; for it is an abomination before Jehovah: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin which Jehovah thy God gave to thee an inheritance.

Every one loosing his wife, and marrying another, commits adultery: and every one marrying her having been loosed from the husband commits adultery.

Hast thou been bound to a wife? seek not a release. Hast thou been loosed from a wife seek thou not a wife.

And now we will cut out a covenant to our God to bring forth all the wives, and those being born of them upon the counsel of my lord, and of those trembling at the command of our God; and according to the law it shall be done.

And it was said, That whosoever should loose his wife, let him give her a repudiation.

They say to him, Why then did Moses charge to give a writing of divorce, and loose her?
