Thematic Bible: Different meals

Thematic Bible

Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, worn out from His journey, sat down at the well. It was about six in the evening.

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to his steward, “Take the men to my house. Slaughter an animal and prepare it, for they will eat with me at noon.”

In the meantime the disciples kept urging Him, “Rabbi, eat something.”

A meal was set before him, but he said, “I will not eat until I have said what I have to say.”

So Laban said, “Please speak.”

But they urged Him: "Stay with us, because it's almost evening, and now the day is almost over." So He went in to stay with them. It was as He reclined at the table with them that He took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.

On the fourth day, they got up early in the morning and prepared to go, but the girl’s father said to his son-in-law, “Have something to eat to keep up your strength and then you can go.”

When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread.
