Become ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding, whose trappings must be bit and bridle to hold them in, [else] they will not come near to thee.
Even a man in splendor does not abide. He is like the beasts that perish.
I said in my heart, [It is] because of the sons of men, that God may prove them, and that they may see that they themselves are beasts. For that which befalls the sons of men befalls beasts, even one thing befalls them; as the one dies, so dies the other.
