He placed darkness like tabernacles round about him, dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.


Then the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

And he lowered the heavens and came down, and darkness was under his feet.

Then Solomon said, The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.


Then the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched and that burned with fire nor unto blackness and darkness and tempest


And Moses alone shall approach the LORD, but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.

And there I will meet with thee, and I will speak with thee from above the seat of reconciliation, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the sons of Israel.

And when Moses would enter into the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD would talk with Moses.

And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob and tell the sons of Israel:

And the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mount, and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount, and Moses went up.

And the LORD called unto Moses, and spoke unto him out of the tabernacle of the testimony, saying,

and the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron, thy brother, that he not enter at all times into the sanctuary inside the veil before the seat of reconciliation, which is upon the ark, that he not die; for I will appear in the cloud above the seat of reconciliation.

He made darkness his hiding place; in his tabernacle round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the heavens.

For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched and that burned with fire nor unto blackness and darkness and tempest and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, which voice those that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more;
