He drove man out and stationed the cherubim and the flaming, whirling sword east of the garden of Eden to guard the way to the tree of life.
These were the living creatures I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the Chebar Canal, and I recognized that they were cherubim.
The sound of the cherubim’s wings could be heard as far as the outer court; it was like the voice of God Almighty when He speaks.
Then the cherubim, with the wheels beside them, lifted their wings, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.

Then the glory of the Lord rose from above the cherubim to the threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the Lord's glory. The appearance of the brilliant light all around was like that of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the form of the Lord’s glory. When I saw it, I fell facedown and heard a voice speaking.
