But this I say, He who sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.
[To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] Blessed is he that considers the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
There is one that scatters, and yet increases; and there is one that withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made rich: and he that waters shall be watered also himself. He that withholds grain, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that sells it.
He that has pity upon the poor lends unto the LORD; and that which he has given will he pay him again.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sins, it shall die. And whosoever lies carnally with a woman, that is a slave, betrothed to a husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; there shall be punishment; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
