And as he was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, throwing a net into the sea, for they were fishers.
Simon Peter said to them: I am going a fishing. They said to him: We also are going with you. They went out and entered the ship; and that night they caught nothing.
And it came to pass while the multitude was pressing on him to hear the word of God, and he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, that he saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And he entered one of the ships, which was Simon s, and requested him to push out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the multitude from the ship. read more.
And when he had made an end of speaking, he said to Simon: Push out into the deep water, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answered and said to him: Master, we have toiled all night and have caught nothing; but at thy command, I will let down the net. And when they had done this, they inclosed a great number of fishes, and their net began to break; and they beckoned to their partners who were in the other ship, to come and help them. And they came and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
